Thank You Bozeman! And Happy New Year!
Thank You, Bozeman! Happy New Year!
2018 has been a busy year for Country Bookshelf, and we couldn’t have done it without you! This year saw the publication of some amazing titles including the Country Bookshelf bestsellers:
The Meateater Fish and Game Cookbook by Steven Rinella
Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan
Becoming by Michelle Obama
Educated by Tara Westover
In Full Flight by John Heminway
The Tangled Tree by David Quammen
From Cold War to Hot Peace by Michael McFaul
Love and Other Consolation Prizes by Jamie Ford
There There by Tommy Orange
Tough Cookie by Edward Hemingway
We hosted over 100 authors this year including locals like David Quammen, Molly Caro May, and Roberta Hamburgh. And who could forget the epic event with Ambassador Michael McFaul?
Because of your commitment to shopping local, Country Bookshelf has been able to donate over $16,000 to organizations supporting our community in the Gallatin Valley.
Plus, we’ve participated in various conferences and special events, from TedX Bozeman, to the Montana Racial Equity Project’s Community Forum.
We had an absolute blast helping to organize the Bozeman Teen Book Fest and the Children’s Festival of the Book (and we’re eagerly anticipating One Book One Bozeman events in February!)
We regularly hosted local groups in our space including the Montana Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Intermountain Therapy Animals, MSU's Wonderlust program, and the Bozeman Poetry Collective.
We ran book fairs for local schools, including Bozeman Montessori, Monforton Schools, and Learning Circle Montessori.
None of this is possible without the generous support of our community – so thank you for coming in for hot titles, supporting local authors, finding new favorites, and chatting with our booksellers. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to your partnership in making 2019 even better!
