Festivals, Festivals, Oh My!

We have a fantastic line-up of festival fun this week as we welcome both the Bozeman Teen Book Fest and the Children's Festival of the Book this weekend.

Bozeman Teen Book Fest
This is the inaugural year for the Bozeman Teen Book Fest featuring three authors - Zoraida Córdova of the Brooklyn Bruja and Wicked Deep series, local author Jeff Giles of the Edge of Everything series, and Kathleen Glasgow with her debut Girl in Pieces.

Friday, November 9th
finds this trio presenting to Bozeman High School students and visitors at the Berg Library between 11:00am and 2:00pm. They will follow this up with another presentation at the Bozeman Public Library from 5:30-7pm. Both presentations will be followed by Q&A and a signing. All three authors' work speaks to storytelling and teen power and we can't wait for them to meet our enthusiastic teen readers.

Children's Festival of the Book Saturday, November 10th from 9am - 5pm at Bozeman Public Library you will find a whole new cadre of powerhouse authors for the Children's Festival of the Book. Middle graders will delight in hearing from Tracey Baptiste - author of The Jumbies series, and the new Minecraft novel The Crash. For the picture book aficionado check out Caldecott award winner Matthew Cordell, who's book The Wolf in the Snow was just gifted to first graders as part of Bozeman Schools Foundation Links to Literacy program. Local author Janet Fox will be there for her first picture book Volcano Dreams, and they'll be joined by another local author, Edward Hemingway and his book Tough Cookie for a panel discussion that afternoon.

Country Bookshelf will be there throughout selling books for both festivals, so be sure to pick up the full array for the young readers in your life and get into the festival spirit!
