Upcoming Event Spotlight

We have two events next week full of Montana panache! Stop in on Wednesday July 11th at 6pm to hear Montana's nationally-recognized Poet Laureate Lowell Jaeger share poems from his newest collection: Earth-Blood & Star-Shine -- an earthy book of praise poems. This collection adds up to model a way of living: don't do it fancy, but look, sweat, smile, and dance. Known for making small things eloquent and finding the beauty in the simplicity of Montana's earth, Jaeger's poetry is sure to evoke a sense of wonder, gratitude, and humor.

Then be sure to pick up a copy of Keith McCafferty's A Death in Eden for his reading and signing on Thursday July 12th at 6pm. This well-loved local author has another Stranahan mystery to solve. The seventh in the series, this tale floats along the Smith River, where scarecrows appear overnight, copper miners salivate, and a headless body surfaces to trouble State Investigator Harold Little Feather. Meanwhile Sean guides a TV reporter and two local men along the Smith, as they debate the efficacy of a proposed copper mine. Is there a murderer on the river as well? McCafferty's passion for his wilderness setting, knowledge of fishing, and understanding of local issues combine to create a rich sense of place. Grab your copy early -- this is sure to be a big event!
